Ingredients

1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup mini M&M candies
⅓ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
Add the peanut butter and vanilla and mix until well combined.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next.
In a separate bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, rolled oats, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
Gently fold in the M&Ms and chocolate chips.
Using a cookie scoop or spoon, roll rounded balls of dough (about 2 tablespoons each) and place onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Press them down slightly with the palm of your hand.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
