Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 8 ounce ham steak fully cooked, bone in or out
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon dijon mustard
- 2 pineapple rings canned
- 2 tablespoons pineapple juice from the can
Instructions
- Pat the ham dry with paper towels.
- Heat the butter in a large skillet over a medium heat. When it’s hot, add the ham and cook until browned, about 3 minutes, then flip and cook the other side for 2 minutes or until browned. Remove the ham steak from the pan and set aside.
- Add the brown sugar, mustard and pineapple juice to the pan (no need to clean it out first) and let it all bubble. Add the ham steak back into the pan and cook on each side for 1 minute.
- Remove the ham steaks and put onto serving plates. Add the pineapple rings to the skillet of glaze and cook for 1 minute on each side. Serve the ham steaks topped with the pineapple rings and the glaze poured over.
