Ingredients

8 frozen waffles Eggo® (or any frozen waffles)
2 eggs
⅓ cup milk
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon butter or oil for cooking

Instructions

You’ll need to start with thawed waffles. You can either leave them out for a bit on the counter, put them in the toaster for just a minute or so to thaw but not brown, or microwave them for about 30 seconds until thawed.
Whisk the eggs, milk, cinnamon and vanilla in a bowl until well blended, then pour into a shallow bowl that’s wide enough to hold a waffle.
Dip a thawed waffles into the egg mixture and let it soak in a bit of the liquid on both sides.
Melt a little butter (or oil) in a skillet over a medium heat.
Shake any excess egg mixture from the waffle, and place it into the skillet. Fry until lightly browned, then flip and brown the other side. Repeat with the remaining waffles.
Serve your Eggo® Waffle French Toast with butter, maple syrup and fresh berries.

Notes

You can thaw your waffles 3 ways: on the counter, in the microwave, or lightly toasting them. They thaw out pretty quickly.

Make sure your waffles get fully coated in the batter. You may need to push the waffle into the batter so the squares soak it up.

Shake off the excess batter before cooking as this will help the waffles cook evenly.

Make sure the skillet is hot with oil before cooking in order to get a nice crispy outside.
