Air Fryer Teriyaki Salmon
Air Fryer Teriyaki Salmon is marinated in a homemade teriyaki sauce and then air fried to perfection. Serve with rice, veg, or noodles.

Ingredients
- 1 pound salmon 450 g
For the teriyaki sauce
- ⅔ cup water
- 3 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
To serve
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- Chopped parsley
Instructions
- Make the teriyaki sauce: stir the water, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, ginger, garlic, and honey together in a saucepan over a medium heat and cook for 2 minutes.
- Stir the cornstarch and water together to create a thick ‘slurry’. Stir the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan and reduce the heat slightly.
- Cook, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes or until thick.
- Pat the salmon dry with paper towels (the skin doesn’t need to be removed).
- Brush the salmon with some of the teriyaki sauce, then place them into the basket of the air fryer.
- Cook at 350F / 175C for 5 minutes, then brush with more of the teriyaki sauce and cook for a further 2 minutes.
- Serve topped with the sesame seeds and parsley.
- Try it with rice, noodles or vegetables.

Notes
When choosing salmon, look for filets around the same thickness, so they cook evenly in the air fryer.
Thaw frozen salmon before using. I like to leave it in the refrigerator overnight to thaw slowly.
For best results, the salmon must be pat dry completely with paper towels. This will ensure that the sauce sticks to the salmon and doesn't slip through the basket.
Air fry the salmon fillets in a single layer. Putting them too close together will result in steamed salmon. If you have more than one pound of salmon, cook it in batches.
You can make the teriyaki sauce up to a week in advance and store it in a sealed container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
